SOME OF OUR KEY ACHIEVEMENTS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Approximately 1 million COVID-19 tests completed since the beginning of the pandemic.
Opening of the COVID-19 vaccination hubs at Westmead and Blacktown Hospitals.
Over 150,000 vaccines administered by 30 June 2021.
3000 copies of a book designed to reduce children’s fear of COVID-19 testing, delivered to childcare centres. Positive feedback was received throughout Western Sydney.
Rapid adoption of telehealth within our facilities.
Staff deployment to support NSW Health with contact tracing, pop up testing clinics and vaccination hubs.
Beyond COVID-19, the communication model provides capacity to respond quickly to ongoing and emerging public health information needs.
Wellness experts providing face to face sessions with teams to provide practical guidance on wellness, resilience and self-care.
Supporting the religious needs of our
patient/communities with chaplaincy and the use of iPads to connect patients.
Providing information on vaccines in a multitude of languages and formats such as videos on media platforms like Facebook. Patients booked in for vaccination are also linked to the NSW Health website where information is available in a variety of languages.
