12.1 Include CALD consumers in research projects where appropriate

12.1.1 Develop a WSLHD position statement of equity in clinical trials and research projects to support the equitable and inclusive engagement of CALD Supporting document: Advancing clinical trial awareness involvement and access for people from CALD backgrounds: Position Statement

12.1.2 Routinely include CALD consumers in all research projects (Refer to 1.2.8)

12.1.3 Seek and identify opportunities to undertake collaborative research with internal and external partners in identified local and state priority areas and with the inclusion of CALD communities 12.1.4 Increase research collaborations with Multicultural Health to build a body of evidence on best practice in delivering service to CALD consumers and improve equity and health outcomes 12.1.5 Support research collaborations with universities and other government and NGO Agencies focusing on CALD populations, patients and consumers to improve access to, safety and quality of services and participation in and satisfaction with care 12.2.1 Identify opportunities to educate health professionals and translate research outcomes to enable and improve equity and responsiveness of WSLHD services 12.2.2 Develop Multicultural Health Services intranet page to improve linkage and access to educational materials and resources
