IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES • Seclusion and Restraint Committee now a sub-committee of Standard 5 Committee • Implementation of evidence based strategies e.g. sensory modulation activities • Introduction of Post Seclusion Interview Tool • Staff training and skills development including clinical supervision • Forums held as an avenue for staff to share knowledge, research and projects designed to reduce the use of restrictive practices within inpatient facilities • Appointment of an Educator to develop and roll out aggression minimization packages.

ACCESS BLOCK (MENTAL HEALTH PRESENTATION IN ED >24HOURS) There were 10.2 occurrences of patients with mental health presentation staying in ED longer than 24 hours.
