Key Projects PLANNED FOR 2021-22
In 2020, Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) launched the Health Services Plan 2021-2026. The following activities are linked to the District’s strategic plan to ensure we achieve exceptional results across five identified focus areas that will guide the future development and delivery of our health care services: 1. It is envisaged that the program will improve the capacity and develop highly skilled clinicians in delivering self-management support educational program. PRESSURE INJURY SMART
This prototype smart sensor is an automated monitoring and recording system with internet capability and was able to provide a read out of basic positions >90% accuracy in a healthy torso. It is at research and development phase and will be further refined prior to implementation across the LHD.
Pressure Injury acquisition remains an area of concern in WSLHD. A smart sensor map was prototyped to address the multifactorial issues influencing pressure injury rates at WSLHD.
